My week 3 & 4 in the Startup Program

Updated: May 23

The Corona Virus got society irritated.

I remember many discussions with people regarding transformation, who denied when I said "humans always need to go through personal pain first, to feel the urge for change and to come up with pragmatic solutions".

Yesterday's session in the startup program was all about how the crisis can become an opportunity. Therefor, I want to share some positive examples:

1.

Since Monday this week Speech Therapy (Logopädie) is officially allowed to be done virtually. My friend Katrin Weyer who is a speech therapist and is the owner of a company in Münster started on Monday an Instagram account called "logopaedie_online" to help other Therapists getting started with Speech Therapie online. She shares hands on methods, concepts, tools and checklists.

2.

Helfen.Berlin a platform where you can buy gift cards from small local businesses in order to save them. It was established by Karsten Kossatz. Gift cards with a value of over 250.000 Euro were bought within one week. Other cities will follow.

3.

#wirvsvirus - The hackathon by the German government: 48h, 42.968 Participants, 1.924 Idea givers, 2.922 Mentors. See all results at wirvsvirushackathon.org.

I would love to see more of these formats in the future to #getthingsdone.
