2021 was a great year for Berlin Startup School, to say the least. Among many others, with the support of ESF Berlin and Berlin Senate Administration, we have initiated our first Accelerator program. Fast-forwarding into January 2022, we kickstart a 6-months equity-free program that supports pre-seed founders to investor-readiness.
After the application phase, wherein we received more than 80 applications, 12 teams made it to the Pitch Day to present their idea. Today, the five strongest teams are starting in the Berlin Startup School Accelerator.
During the following six months, the teams will get access to our Co-Working space in Berlin, a personal coach, a coaching budget, a way into our startup network, and much more.
So, who are the teams?
With a drum roll, let us introduce the five teams who are starting up with us.
And here's what they are working on: 👐 Hive is a digital solution that enables organisations to build strong and authentic culture that can adapt in complex environments. Their platform assists with collecting input from the employees, discussing and voting on the ideas, and finally turning them into action to create a collectively perceived core value system and organisational identity.
🤲 Trödel Spende is a digital secondhand and marketplace platform for selling and buying items to do good. The sellers don’t receive any monetary profit for the items they offer; instead, buyers donate the desired amount to a charitable organisation/ NGO.
🦹 Stark ins Neue is a network of trainers and child and youth coaches for mentally strong, self-determined, and happy children. To connect trainers with children, they are building a modern booking platform and organizing free online events for children, parents, and educational staff.
🚀 Niftee is a platform that's helping new and amateur investors to invest in NFTs (Non-fungible Token) and other crypto assets - through a deep analysis of projects and blockchains, an easy user interface and a track-record of successful trading.
💬 Winkt is a digital platform that gathers all hyperlocal happenings in one place. It connects places and people by enabling them to share offers, discounts and opportunities with those nearby within seconds. Winkt supports shops, restaurants, or cultural event organizers in connecting with their customers and allows people to connect with each other when they are together at the same place.
We are excited to tell you more about the startups, deep-dive into their ideas, and meet the faces behind the teams. In the following weeks, we will introduce the teams in our blog to lay bare all the secrets about them. So: stick with us!
